ODIs
India and Zimbabwe always put on an entertaining show when they meet in one-day internationals (ODIs). Zimbabwe was graced with some exceptional talent when they first became Test nation, including Hamilton Masakadza, Graeme Cremer and Henry Olonga who could play at a high level – such as Hamilton Masakadza, Graeme Cremer and Henry Olonga – but their early Test career struggled significantly.
On the plus side they were great entertainment to watch in One-Day Internationals as they frequently made it into multi-national tournament finals.

Zimbabwe experienced several setbacks over the subsequent months, which was compounded by internal disputes and foreign interference.
They entered World Cup qualifiers alongside Nepal, Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Scotland but failed to advance past group stage play, suffering two consecutive losses against UAE opposition.
Zimbabwe was suffering financial difficulty at this time and many players refused to represent the national side. Brendan Taylor, Graeme Cremer and Sean Williams even boycotted a tour to Pakistan and India altogether.
Zimbabwe have introduced some fresh faces into their squad this time, including wicketkeeper-batter Brendan Taylor returning after over a year out and three newcomers Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, and Riyan Parag.
