Zimbabwe vs Pakistan

Zimbabwe, located in southern Africa, boasts one of the seven most successful Test cricket teams worldwide and achieved its peak ranking during the 1990s when they finished fourth overall. Furthermore, Zimbabwe cricket team also experienced significant success playing ODI and T20 internationals.

Zimbabwe was granted Test status in 1994 but struggled initially in their performances on the field. Early results led to speculation over their early test status being granted prematurely; however, over time their performances gradually improved until by 2003 World Cup they had won several One Day Internationals and earned international respect for their fielding abilities; unfortunately though Test cricket had become less important to their game.

In 2006, Zimbabwe Cricket faced internal issues such as disputes between players and management regarding financial matters and contract negotiations, along with canceling Logan Cup as concerns by Zimbabwe Cricket mounted about low quality competition which may damage national image of game.

The next year, Zimbabwe were invited to play an ODI series against Pakistan and won their first two matches before dropping one due to Younis Khan scoring a double ton in one of his matches.

Zimbabwe later hosted and won a triangular series between Australia and South Africa; though their performance may have been hindered by ongoing political unrest within their own nation, they managed to overcome any obstructions to perform well against both countries during ODI matches against each of them.

The final One Day International (ODI) in Dhaka was an astounding drama. No one gave Zimbabwe much chance of victory after New Zealand scored 328 runs in 50 overs, yet somehow managed to pull off an unbelievable comeback win thanks to Eddo Brandes bowling four wickets at 21 runs per over and his wicket of Graham Gooch. For Zimbabwe it was their first-ever attempt at chasing over 300 runs in an ODI and their largest win since regaining their top 10 ranking back in 1995.

Zimbabwe vs India

India kept their semi-final hopes alive in the T20 World Cup with an emphatic 72-run win against Zimbabwe in their quarter-final encounter on Wednesday.

Opener Abhishek Sharma led India’s attack with five fours and six sixes off 30 balls from Abhishek Sharma, but Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma took control by punishing Zimbabwe’s poor fielding with run-scoring strokes to score big runs for India.

Brian Bennett was Zimbabwe’s sole other batsman to reach 50, though his 97-ball effort fell just short of an unbeaten century. Earlier, however, the 22-year-old made his maiden ODI century before being dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja’s outstanding one-handed catch which gave India victory at Chennai.

India and West Indies now stand level on two points at the top of Pool A, setting up an encounter between India and England in Kolkata on Sunday to determine who advances to the last four.

Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh

Zimbabwe’s batsmen were left lamenting their lost opportunities after an exciting Test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

Zimbabwe looked certain to win easily but instead found themselves playing catch-up, even with Mominul Haque taking 10 wickets and Mehidy Hasan making twin fifties despite an impressive first innings performance from them both.

But then they came upon Madhevere – solid like an iron rock with nerves of steel, he kept his cool to help them achieve their target with one over left to spare. Wellington Masakadza and Ngarava also contributed with key cameos as Zimbabwe picked up their first win since March 2021.
