1. Sunil Gavaskar
Sunil Gavaskar is widely considered to be one of the greatest opening batsmen of all time, known for his consistency and relentless concentration in Test cricket. 2. Virender Sehwag
Virender Sehwag was one of the premier Indian openers and one of the finest batsmen ever in world cricket for many years, known for his aggressive yet free-flowing style of batting that gave bowlers no restraint whatsoever.

4. Mahendra Singh Dhoni
MS Dhoni changed the game with his superb tactical acumen and calm composure under pressure; thus making him worthy of induction into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. From small town in Jharkhand he rose through rebellion, extraordinary merit and belief to become one of the pinnacles of international cricket.

Effective as both batsman and bowler, his bold approach saw him smashing leather-on-ball whenever possible. One of the greatest moments in his career came against Pakistan during their home series of 1979-80 when he achieved 100 Test wickets and 1000 runs – becoming the youngest ever player to do so!
After Gavaskar stepped down as captain in 1986, he led India to victory in the Rothmans Four Nations Cup. A groin injury nearly forced him out of Australia tour – however he persevered through it and took five wickets every game, earning himself the Wisden Indian Cricketer of the Century award for this outstanding performance.
8. Harbhajan Singh
Harbhajan Singh is an outstanding off spin bowler who has played an instrumental role in India’s historic Test wins overseas, but his eccentric temperament and comedic antics has caused off the pitch havoc.
Though still an effective bowler, his career had faltered somewhat in later years of his stellar career. He struggled with adapting to T20, and his deliveries lost their edge against batsmen. Still a key member of Mumbai Indians team in IPL who has helped them win three times!
He is one of the most well-known personalities in India and has featured as the face of various television shows. Additionally, he is active in politics – serving as Rajya Sabha MP for Punjab state.
9. Virat Kohli
After leading India Under-19 team to victory at World Cup 2008 held in Kuala Lumpur, he quickly rose to fame. Lauded for his ability to perform under pressure and take control of his game, this chubby youngster won plaudits from critics everywhere.
In the first Test of his Australia tour, he hit six centuries on a lively Perth wicket to mark an early golden period in his career. Additionally, he improved his technique by tightening up and taking more backfoot strokes than he had during previous tour of England.
