IND vs SA 1st T20I

India got off to an encouraging start during their chase as openers Gongadi Trisha and Kamalini Gunalan put on an opening stand of 36 runs before both were dismissed by Kayla Reyneke; Sanika Chalke joined Trisha and they carried on making runs until India reached 144/7 after 20 overs.

South Africa were off to a dismal start in their innings as they lost three wickets within five overs of commencing play. Captain Reyneke and Karabo Meso attempted to steady the ship, but in the end were bowled out for just 82.

Gongadi Trisha then made an outstanding contribution with her bat as she hit five fours and one six to help her team reach its target by the 14th over. Deepti Sharma provided much-needed support by hitting two fours over 12 balls during her stay.

Indian spinners then cast a web over South African middle order and quickly reduced them to 93/7 in 19th over. Gerald Coetzee managed 23 off 11 balls but even that wasn’t enough to save their day.

South Africa are eager to respond after suffering a crushing home series defeat against England with a victory in this T20I series against New Zealand. Laura Wolvaardt will lead her side without injured players Anneke Bosch and Marizanne Kapp, with everyone keen on giving a solid performance ahead of World Cup preparation.

India defeated South Africa by 12 runs in their previous meeting at Chennai’s Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, with live coverage available via JioCinema app and Sports18 TV channel. For cancer awareness purposes, this match will also feature pink jerseys on display from India women’s cricket team; an exhibition match against Sri Lanka will also take place prior to it at ICC Academy Dubai on Friday afternoon.

IND vs SA 2nd T20I

South Africa will look to build on their Durban victory against India when they play India in the second T20I at St George’s Park. After suffering an unexpected defeat against England across multiple formats, they’ll hope for a good showing against India in this T20I series.

India posted an impressive total of 336 in their opening match behind Rodrigues’ stunning 123 and Deepti Sharma’s 93 runs; however, wickets fell regularly, leaving India reeling backwards.

Jansen and Coetzee both struck early blows to keep Indian batsmen at bay; ultimately India were reduced to 202/8 after only Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya managed to break through.

The Proteas maintained their pressure through bowlers and fielders alike, yet found themselves short by 28 runs despite impressive performances by Dercksen and Tryon.

Attritional drama ensued throughout the low-scoring match that kept both teams on edge throughout. India did an admirable job of building momentum during their chase but ultimately fell short; it was Tristan Stubbs and Gerald Coetzee of South Africa who managed to remain composed enough to secure an exciting victory with an outstanding victory at their hands.

At first, South Africa established their superiority through an outstanding bowling display in the powerplay. Their electric fielding and dot balls further disproved any chance for partnership formation; Varun Chakaravarthy caught both Markram and Hendricks off a googly from Chakaravarthy while Bishnoi took key wicket Klaasen, rendering India helpless against this onslaught as they lost five wickets for just 12 runs!

IND vs SA 3rd T20I

With their series tied at 1-1, India and South Africa are gearing up for an intense encounter at Centurion. Both teams will want to leave an impressionful mark before facing each other again in the final T20I match of this series. South Africa come into this encounter following an impressive all-format victory over England; India seek to secure their position amongst the tournament’s top four.

Both teams will be looking to increase their chances of qualifying for the World Cup in June, and this fixture provides them with an ideal chance to do just that. India won their previous T20I meeting comfortably by five wickets; both squads should bring out strong squads, making this contest fiercely contested.

As it stands now, the Men in Blue hold an edge against their counterparts from South Africa; winning 16 of 29 T20I matches against them while they only managed 12 victories themselves.

First half of innings went slowly for both sides, as neither could break through to break the deadlock. Thanks to some steady batting by India captain Harmanpreet Kaur and skipper Smriti Mandhana, Indian started making inroads into South African ranks.

Ravi Bishnoi delivered an outstanding spinner spell, restricting South African run-rate and increasing pressure. At the end of Powerplay, Proteas found themselves struggling at 45/5 with both Fay Cowling and Karabo Meso having already depart quickly; Mieke van Voort provided some dynamism by hitting Gongadi Trisha for three fours off his bowling, before soon being dismissed for scoring an unbeaten 71 off only 56 deliveries.

India proved their nerve to win an exciting T20I contest against Bangladesh with two victories from two T20I innings – Aiden Markram hit two big sixes off Varun Chakravarthy but was caught by Ramandeep Singh at deep midwicket on the final ball to ensure their team avoided an innings loss and ensure they avoided series failure. This was their second consecutive T20I win and ensured series viability for India.

IND vs SA 4th T20I

India defeated South Africa and won their fourth T20 International by 135 runs at The Wanderers Stadium to seal a 3-1 series win, led by Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma’s centuries in an exceptional evening in Johannesburg. India secured their third straight T20I victory to cap off an exceptional year of T20I cricket.

South Africa were brought back into the contest with only three overs remaining, but Chakaravarthy swiftly struck and Chakaravarthy removed their top order to leave them at 10 for 4. Trying to preserve pride for Proteas Karabo Meso and Kayla Reyneke tried their hardest with some hard hitting.

But the pair were only able to add 92 runs before collapsing at the back end, leaving Tilak to hit six off her final ball and win India both the match and series.

India claimed their first T20I victory on South African soil since 2014 and will look to draw positives from this performance and improve upon their dismal away form in 2026.

India will rely heavily on Smriti Mandhana, as she is currently in good form and could add to her T20I goals tally. The vice-captain’s impressive knock of 43 in their opener against Sri Lanka could provide the foundation of victory in this matchup.

MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai has long been considered a friendly environment for spinners, and India hopes to take full advantage of this surface and strangle South African batting. Indian hopes will also be bolstered by Mithali Raj’s return from injury after missing two matches; allrounder Marizanne Kapp and batswoman Anneke Bosch won’t feature as this clash marks both teams’ preparation for World Cup 2022; last time these teams met here India won convincingly by seven wickets before it was cut short due to rain-curtailed play-off.
