Following an extended drive by Baltimore that ended with Derek Henry fumbling the ball away, Drake Maye led New England on a 61-yard scoring drive, with Rhamondre Stevenson taking advantage of Maye’s pass and running it 21 yards for touchdown.
He could pose a significant threat against Baltimore’s secondary, particularly with cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphrey missing time this season, making New England Patriots Vs Baltimore Ravens Match Player Stats even more crucial to analyze.

Stefon Diggs
Stefon Diggs was an instrumental factor for New England in a game where they dominated through the air, catching two touchdown passes while also helping drive their running attack. His performance against one of the NFL’s premier pass rushes made this big win even sweeter for Diggs and New England alike.
New England opened up the second quarter with a three-and-out drive, but Baltimore quickly answered back by taking advantage of New England’s subpar pass rush with Lamar Jackson using multiple quarterback runs to gain ground into the red zone before missing an extra point on third down conversion attempt and having to settle for a field goal instead of scoring an extra point.
On the Ravens’ next drive, Tyler Huntley took over as quarterback after Lamar Jackson experienced a back injury; unfortunately this strategy backfired as Huntley was struck by defensive end Ar’Darius Washington and lost the ball fumbling it away to New England who quickly recovered it and retook their lead.
After several drives of relentless Ravens offense, the Patriots fake punt went to Marte Mapu who could not find anyone open and fumbled it before it could be recovered by safety Jaylinn Hawkins.
The Patriots capitalized on Baltimore’s miscue, using an 89-yard drive featuring Diggs’ long reception to move ahead 14-10. Their lead would increase to 24-13 when rookie kicker Andy Borregales kicked a field goal late in the fourth quarter; unfortunately for Baltimore it was too late to mount any comeback attempt.
Although they ultimately fell, the Ravens’ defense was outstanding in their return to playoff competition after nearly two years. Their front seven was dominant while their secondary held up well against an unflappable Patriots offense. Their lack of a run game proved their undoing against such an uncompromising attack from New England.
Rob Gronkowski
Gronkowski came into the NFL with lofty expectations, and quickly excelled. As soon as his rookie year had begun, Gronkowski made history by becoming the first ever to catch ten touchdown passes – one more than Travis Kelce had managed! Additionally, he became a key component of New England Patriots offense during their Super Bowl run; winning two more rings alongside them along with becoming one of their most respected leaders.
Gronk had an outstanding season before breaking his arm during Week One of the playoffs. While recovering, his catching numbers took a significant hit as well; ultimately leading him to retire shortly afterwards in 2022.
The Patriots opened the second half with an impressive drive that featured three big plays. Stefon Diggs caught a short reception for 33 yards while Lamar Jackson connected with Zay Flowers on third down for 18 yards – but their drive eventually fizzled when forced to punt due to Marte Mapu fumbling a punt snap from upback position who couldn’t locate a receiver and instead lost control of it and fumbled the ball instead.
Baltimore responded on their next possession with a six-play drive that covered 65 yards, highlighted by Derrick Henry’s 23-yard run and 17 rushing yards on this drive. Unfortunately, New England went 3-and-out due to a Christian Elliss facemask penalty and this drove ended.
New England’s defense stepped up significantly in the second half, and their offense managed to get into the red zone with ease. A 28-yard pass from Tom Brady to Josh Gordon enabled Stephen Gostkowski’s 39-yard field goal that gave New England a 13-10 advantage with just under 12 minutes left on the clock.
The Patriots were missing several players due to injuries during the second half, such as Robert Spillane (ankle) and Khyiris Tonga (foot). But their lineup should be healthy against the Jets next Sunday – and Gronkowski may return then.
Julian Edelman
Julian Edelman has become a key member of the Patriots offense. Although he may not have the same regular season statistics as some of his peers, Edelman is one of the greatest postseason performers ever and was instrumental in winning three Super Bowl championships with New England.
Edelman played an essential part in New England’s first-half success. He caught eight out of 11 passes thrown his way and amassed 141 receiving yards during that half alone – his efforts being one reason why so many points were scored by New England – a trend which carried into the second half as well.
After three and outs in the third quarter, the Ravens turned to backup quarterback Tyler Huntley on their opening drive of the third. Unfortunately, several negative plays, such as Christian Elliss’ face mask penalty and K’Lavon Chaisson’s forced fumble would stall their progress; Huntley would ultimately throw an incompletion pass attempt which hit Kayshon Boutte inside of the tackle box on this drive.
On their next possession, Drake Maye connected with Mack Hollins for a 21-yard touchdown throw and launched New England into Baltimore territory. A series of positive plays followed before an Edelman deep shot was knocked loose by a Baltimore defender resulting in 3rd and 15.
New England attempted a comeback with their final drive, starting with Derrick Henry’s 23-yard run to reach their 46-yard line and ending in an impressive 41-yard field goal by rookie placekicker Joe Borregales.
The Patriots managed to put together another scoring drive late in the game, only for it to end abruptly when K’Lavon Chaisson forced Zay Flowers’ fumble that Jordan Jones recovered for them and they ran out the clock for their fourth straight victory of 2025 and improve to 12-3 overall.
James White
James White did not tally many receptions or touchdowns on Thursday night, yet was efficient at what he did accomplish. He caught six passes for 91 yards – his second highest total this season – while playing an integral role in starting their first drive of the second half.
On that drive, New England drove deep into Baltimore territory and secured a first down on 3rd-and-5. White took a handoff from Maye before running all the way into the end zone for a touchdown, giving New England an 18-24 lead with just under four minutes remaining in regulation time.
After that, the Ravens continued their run game until most of the third quarter had passed but were unable to gain any ground; due to an impressive pass rush defense from New England’s secondary, it proved tough for the Ravens’ running game to gain any traction on its own.
On their next drive, the Ravens had a golden opportunity to tie the game. Unfortunately, K’Lavon Chaisson tackled Henry for a loss on third down and Anfernee Jennings recovered his fumble in the end zone, thus altering the outcome of this game and turning momentum in their favor. This would have been an enormously significant play that could have altered its course significantly.
Drake Maye entered the fourth quarter with New England trailing by 11, but did not let that discourage him. Instead, the second-year quarterback produced his first 300-yard performance and helped set New England on their path towards their first fourth-quarter comeback win in franchise history.
The Patriots quickly took control with their next drive and went ahead 27-21 with just over five minutes remaining in regulation time. Their victory marked seven straight away victories this year – surpassing their total from last season!
It was a game that highlighted both teams’ talents. For the Patriots, exceptional quarterback play in crucial situations, varied receiving options, and disciplined special teams helped overcome an inconsistent defensive performance from Baltimore; on the other hand, over-reliance on running game and secondary inconsistencies ultimately cost them dearly in defeat.
