Australia’s squad for this tournament features both experience and youth, with veteran cricketers like David Warner, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Ashton Agar and Cameron Green making up part of this squad as well. Matthew Wade will serve as first choice wicketkeeper while Josh Inglis is provided back-up and his inclusion shows that Australia trust him.

The 2023 T20 World Cup will be the 13th edition of ICC Men’s Twenty20 Cricket World Cup, to be hosted in India between 5 October and 19 November at ten different locations. India will become host for this edition, marking it as its inaugural host and only other time it was staged there before now.

India will face an important test at this year’s competition as they aim to build upon their strong track record of World Cup titles won. Rohit Sharma-led side will face Ireland first before facing Pakistan before finishing off their group-stage fixtures by facing co-host USA in Florida at Central Broward Park & County Stadium.

With 48 matches taking place over 16 days – an unprecedented record – and its groundbreaking introduction of Super Over rule penalising losing teams for failing to complete required overs within an agreed time limit, this World Cup promises to be thrillingly intense.

The final will take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium and coincide with Diwali on November 19, with both semi-finals taking place in Mumbai featuring the top two teams, followed by Kolkata’s Eden Gardens hosting fourth and second placed teams from each group. The winner of this competition will be presented with a trophy and $1.5 million prize pool; their second place finisher will be rewarded with $100,000 as prize money.

T20 World Cup 2021

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 marked the seventh installment of this international cricket tournament and featured 28-team tournament. Originally, Australia had planned on hosting, but due to COVID-19 pandemic had to postpone it – marking this as the inaugural edition hosted by UAE and Oman.

This year’s competition was an unprecedented showcase of cricket talent from 16 leading nations competing for the crown. England defeated Pakistan in a dramatic final that attracted 80,428 people – the highest attendance figure ever for a T20 World Cup final!
