Sahil Chauhan of Estonia

On Monday, Estonian hitter Sahil Chauhan scripted the fastest century in men’s T20I cricket. Chauhan smashed a brilliant 27-ball hundred against Cyprus in the second game of a six-match series at Episkopi. It wiped out Namibian Jan-Nicol Loftie Eaton’s record of 33 balls, and put Chauhan in the record books alongside Chris Gayle (30-ball hundred).

Chauhan dominated from start to finish, hitting sixes and fours off his first three legal deliveries. He reached his half-century off 14 balls, the quickest in T20I history. He also shared a 75-run stand with Taranjit Singh (66 off 17 balls, two fours, five sixes). Estonia won the match by five wickets.

Abhishek Sharma of India

The young Abhishek Sharma has made the not-so-easy task of making it to the top look utterly effortless. He has moved up the batting rankings in short order and is now indisputably the world’s best T20I opener. Watching him bat against Afghanistan in the third T20I was like flipping through a highlights reel, and that is exactly what the youngster did, hammering nine fours and 10 sixes as he eased to a blistering hundred off just 30 balls.

That is the fastest century by an Indian in T20Is and the quickest against a Test-playing country, surpassing the previous record set by Estonia’s Sahil Chauhan (who took 27 balls to reach a ton against Cyprus in 2024) and New Zealand’s Finn Allen (who reached a hundred off 33 balls against South Africa in the 2026 T20 World Cup).

Abhishek has a natural flair for hitting big shots and he has used it to devastating effect over the last year. He is one of the few players who can be relied upon to slam sixes off even the slowest bowlers.

He has a fearless approach at the crease and that was reflected in his first international innings when he scored a brilliant 35-ball ton against New Zealand in Nagpur.

That performance, along with a slam-dunk 41 off 15 deliveries in Punjab’s Sher-E-Punjab T20 League match against Fazilka Falcons, was enough to secure a place in India’s squad for their opening Group A game against the USA on Thursday.

He would be joining his team-mate Ishan Kishan as the second highest-ranked T20I batter for the Men in Blue and would replace injured fast bowler Bumrah Singh in the starting XI.

Abhishek is a left-handed batting all-rounder who plays for Punjab in domestic cricket and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. He has also played for India in ODIs and T20Is.

He is a hard-hitting opener who can also play as a wicketkeeper and is the second highest run-scorer for SRH in IPL 2026 with 434 runs from eight matches. He is also a capable bowler who can bowl slow left-arm orthodox spin.

Kiran Navgire of India

Kiran Navgire of India is the fastest woman to score a century in cricket. The Indian opener struck a 34-ball ton in a women’s domestic Twenty20 match against Punjab.

The score was the fastest in history, beating New Zealand’s Sophie Devine’s 36-ball ton for Wellington Blaze in 2021. Navgire’s innings included seven sixes and 14 fours, as Maharashtra romped to victory in just eight overs.

The daughter of a farmer from the western state of Maharashtra, Navgire was a keen athlete as a teenager, competing in javelin throw and shot put. However, she did not receive formal training until her graduation days at the Savitribai Phule Pune University, where she played for the university team.

Navgire first caught the eye of selectors when she scored a 24-ball fifty in the 2022 Women’s T20 Challenge for Velocity against Trailblazers. She has since represented the country’s senior squad on a few occasions, including the tour to England in 2022.

Navgire now plays for Nagaland in the Women’s Super League, where she has been impressive with both bat and ball. Her recent performances have led to her being named in the UP Warriorz squad for the upcoming season. The opener will look to add to her tally of international caps in the tournament, which starts in just under two weeks.

AB de Villiers of South Africa

AB de Villiers of South Africa is the former captain of his nation’s ODI team and one of the most respected batsmen in cricket. His career spanned over 15 years and he was able to gain immense popularity throughout the world for his effortless and aggressive batting style.

He earned huge accolades and recognitions for his performance in all three formats of the game. He is also known as Mr 360 for his ability to do things that others can only dream about.

De Villiers is the most successful batsman in ODI history with 22 Test and 25 ODI centuries. He is regarded as one of the greatest players to ever play the game. He is a fan favorite in his own country, and his legacy will continue long after he has retired from the game.

During his innings against the West Indies in 2015, he scored 149 runs off just 44 balls. The century was the fastest in ODI history. It included nine fours and 16 sixes.

In the same match, he broke the record for the fastest half-century in ODI history, which had previously been held by New Zealand’s Corey Anderson. The fifty came off just 16 balls and it was a remarkable achievement by the former South African skipper. De Villiers is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen to have ever played the game, and his feat will never be beaten.

He is a popular figure on social media and has an active Twitter account where he shares pictures of his travels and family life. He has also written a book, which is a memoir of his life in cricket. The book is called “AB De Villiers: My Autobiography.” It is a rare glimpse into the personal life of the most invincible batsman of modern times.

De Villiers is a very religious person, and his book talks about the importance of faith in cricket. It also touches upon his inhibitions about the sports quota system in his home country and how he is preparing for life after cricket. His remarkable record is also part of the history of the Fastest Century In Cricket. It is a must-read for any true cricket fan.
