Duleep Trophy 2024

The Duleep Trophy 2024 is an important domestic cricket event as it gives national players an opportunity to test themselves against one another in first-class matches, typically first-class matches.

The tournament consists of six rounds with maximum points being awarded to the winning team at each round based on performance in inter-zone competitions such as Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy competitions; these competitions provide players with a platform from which they can assess whether or not they possess what it takes for national selection.

Mayank Agarwal will lead India A in his absence due to international commitments; Prasidh Krishna, KL Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan form part of his squad, with Abhimanyu Easwaran, Rinku Singh and Washington Sundar also featuring for Indian B. Sarfaraz will look to improve upon his 16-wicket haul while Musheer Khan could emerge as an option at pacer option for later this year’s Border Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.

Ruturaj Gaikwad will name an unchanged team for India C, including Rajat Patidar, B Sai Sudharsan and Axar Patel.

While Manav Suthar and Dhruv Jurel may have some rest time during this series they should still be available when playing Bangladesh later on this month.

Vidwath Kaverappa’s eight-for 66 in Ananthapur marked his finest first-class performance to date and was one of the season’s standout efforts.

His feat put him joint second on this season’s Duleep Trophy list of leading wicket-takers and is testament to his consistency, leading him to international opportunities.
