Varun Chakaravarthy
Varun Chakravarthy is one of India’s most promising spin bowling talents, known for his deceptive variations and sharp control that outwit batsmen in T20Is while excelling on slower pitches. Chakravarthy made his ODI debut in 2023 after initially impressing domestic audiences during domestic tournaments he participated in 2021-2022.
Chakravarthy was an indispensable member of KKR’s attack during their back-to-back title winning seasons of 2024 and 2025, providing tight lines and wicket-taking breakthroughs at crucial junctures – while keeping opponents wary with his consistent performances and tight line bowling style. He often kept their opposition teams at bay due to this fearsome bowler!
CromBest Cricket Club alumni Chakravarthy began his career as a seam bowling all-rounder before switching to spin after suffering a knee injury. His unique action quickly gained recognition, quickly rising through Tamil Nadu’s ranks to become a regular for Karaikudi Kaalais in the TNPL before switching teams and joining Siechem Madurai Panthers where Sunil Narine took note. Here he refined his bowling even further while expanding upon it to add new dimensions to his game.
Gough’s bowling arsenal boasts googlies, legbreaks with sidespin, carrom balls and overspin legbreaks among its variety. His bowling has also improved significantly with the adoption of a faster run-up, enabling him to impart greater dip and generate more revolutions when bowling wrong’un and legbreak deliveries – helping stifle batters while earning his team valuable runs. Yet Gough is always working on new variations, ready to use whenever the time is right in a match situation.

He made history when he scored the first ever century in T20I cricket for Zimbabwe against Gambia – contributing significantly towards their record total of 344 runs in just 20 overs!
Heath Streak (Jersey #9 or #34): Recognised as one of Zimbabwe’s finest players, Streak stands as an all-round talent and bowler renowned for taking more than 100 Test wickets for Zimbabwe as well as numerous domestic T20 and ODI scalps.
Ishan Kishan

Kishan has been the foundation of Jharkhand domestic cricket, and this year in the Ranji Trophy he will play an integral part for them as captain and will lead their opening two matches as captain. Experienced players such as Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik as well as emerging talent such as Sanju Samson will join him at this golden opportunity for Kishan to showcase his skills after doing so so well in Deodhar Trophy.
Abhishek Sharma
Abhishek Sharma is a fiery left-handed batter who blends flair with effective left-arm spin. As part of India’s under-19 side that won the 2018 ICC Under-19 World Cup, and after making his first-class debut for Punjab in 2017, as well as List A cricket – these performances helped secure his selection as an India T20 series against Zimbabwe where he made an unforgettable impact despite falling for an initial duck in game one and rebounding with an exciting 135 in game two to show everyone that this left-hand batsman could play at such high levels!
Abhishek has not looked back since, dominating the Asia Cup 2025 with some outstanding batting. He became second fastest Indian to reach 1000 T20I runs, leading the country in batting averages and taking top honours at this tournament. Abhishek’s exploits have been one of the main factors in India’s remarkable T20I cricket success.
He has continued his impressive performances both domestically and in the IPL. With 14 matches played for Sunrisers Hyderabad scoring 426 runs at an impressive average of 44.44 and some elegant strokes, he is an asset for any captain and surely set for more successes ahead. Several big teams are watching him closely right now as potential contenders to become India’s foremost openers.

A powerful left-handed stroke player who can hit sixes, Dube is also a reliable bowler capable of picking up wickets at crucial moments, making him an indispensable member of India’s teams for both forms of cricket.
At the 2024 T20 World Cup he made an immediate impact when entering at an important point during the final against South Africa, scoring 27 off 16 balls to provide support for Virat Kohli and help India reach 176/7 which ultimately gave them victory and earned them their championship victory.

After performing strongly for India’s national side, he was chosen in India’s squad for their One Day International series against Bangladesh. He made his ODI debut in the third ODI and continued playing until Nagpur’s fifth ODI when he picked up two wickets while scoring an unbeaten 36 off 18 deliveries!
He is an exceptional young player who earned himself a place on the national team due to his impressive performances in domestic cricket. With so much potential still ahead of him, only loss of form will stand in his way of progressing further – if this can be restored quickly then he could become one of the premier players for years to come.
