Zimbabwe tried their luck late but suffered late wickets that left them facing an uphill struggle, falling nine runs short in defeat.
Zimbabwe were proud of their efforts in Afghanistan despite suffering defeat, believing the experience gained would only strengthen them going forward in future tournaments.
