India Vs Bangladesh T20I Matches
India’s spin twins seal victory for India to seal the match despite Bangladesh’s impressive showing during morning session. Bangladesh quickly found itself outwitted.
Sanju Samson was spectacular with the bat, hitting an outstanding 111 off 78 balls but it wasn’t enough as hosts won easily.
Here we will discuss India National Cricket Team vs Bangladesh National Cricket Team Match Scorecard.
IND vs BAN
India are one of the premier sides in world cricket and will look to add another title win when they travel to Bangladesh for a three-match T20I series starting October 6 in Gwalior and moving onto Delhi and Hyderabad respectively in November. India are clear favourites but must perform at their best if they wish to achieve victory against their neighbours.
India may have been dominant at home, but their opponents won’t be easy opponents to beat on foreign soil. South Africa have already proven they can challenge world champions India several times before and their recent 2-0 thrashing of Pakistan should act as motivation to perform even better against India.
India will rely heavily on spinners like Ravichandran Ashwin and Chahal for their bowling attack; Ashwin in particular has been on fine form while Chahal looks to add another impressive performance to his resume. Indian batsmen will need to do all they can to score more runs than Bangladesh.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be key figures for India in this game as two of the premier batsmen worldwide. Both players have combined for over 400 runs against one another over 14 Test matches played between them. Gautam Gambhir, Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane round off India’s batting lineup while Bangladesh will rely heavily on experienced players like Mushfiqur Rahim to guide them.
Both teams should expect an action-packed encounter, with the ball moving quickly from both teams’ batsmen. Chennai should provide ideal conditions for bowlers; Ravichandran Ashwin of India should play a pivotal role as key wicket-taker while Bangladesh bowlers will need to perform better against India batsmen. It promises to be a high-scoring encounter; Hotstar provides live streaming coverage so fans don’t miss it on October 6 at 5:30 pm IST.
1st T20I
India secured their victory in Durban with an emphatic 61-run victory, led by Sanju Samson’s fiery innings of 107 runs which featured seven fours and 10 sixes. Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma supported him well, adding 92 runs as second wicket partners in only 10 overs – which helped India keep pace with South Africa. Meanwhile, Proteas struggled to keep up as three batters per innings were dismissed within just 10 overs of innings start.
Indian bowlers did a commendable job of restricting run-rate in the early going, but soon lost wickets at regular intervals to become ineffective against South Africa who then lost their captain, with no hope for a comeback being possible against India’s attack.
India was able to quickly recover after an inadequate start and eventually reached their desired run rate of around 10 runs per over on Kingsmead track, taking full advantage of Sanju Samson’s superb 107-ball knock. Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Dhoni and Tilak Verma also helped accelerate India’s innings.
Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi made the most of the breezy conditions by bowling dot balls at will to restrict runs to 53 in eight overs while picking up several wickets each.
South Africa suffered regular wickets to be all out for 203 in their reply, Heinrich Klaasen was the sole Protea batsman to reach more than 20 runs while Miller and Coetzee both fell with one run each.
At the Gabba, weather conditions have not improved much with dark clouds and lightning still blanketing the pitch, delaying toss by nearly an hour as a result. There’s also the threat of rain which would render both teams’ games impossible – remain tuned for updates on this story!
2nd T20I
This match took place at St George’s Park in Gqeberha and ended in a three-wicket victory for South Africa, thanks to Varun Chakravarthy’s maiden five-wicket haul that saw India crumble to 122/6 in their 20 overs batting innings. Tristan Stubbs and Gerald Coetzee held their nerve to see South Africa to victory – an upset win which halted India’s 11-match winning streak in T20I cricket.
Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson provided Bangladesh with a solid platform, but not enough runs to pose any challenge against India’s formidable bowling attack. If they hope to have any hope in taking any games off India this series, Bangladesh must improve their batting display significantly.
After their dominant seven-wicket win in the first T20I, India appeared poised to continue their winning run in this second match against Australia with another strong performance from their batsmen and some tight bowling from hosts Australia. Unfortunately for India though, a poor showing from their batsmen coupled with some disciplined bowling from their hosts quickly put them on the back foot early and effectively forced them into defeat.
India have made an effective transition since their World Cup triumph despite retiring some senior players, thanks to youngsters such as Mayank Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy making an impressionful entry into white-ball cricket. India have found strength in young talent like this pair as they add new energy and drive to their team.
India will look to continue their momentum when they face Bangladesh in the third T20I at Delhi on Wednesday. Virat Kohli will not be captain for this match and it will be broadcast live by Sports18 Network and JioCinema app and website in India and online streaming worldwide.

3rd T20I
After an exciting low-scoring thriller in the second match, this third match promises to be even more intense. India will look to recover from their defeat in match two and take an advantage in this four-match series 2-1 against South Africa. Sanju Samson and Varun Chakravarthy have been standout players so far for India; but more of their team must step up if India are going to achieve success against South Africa.
South Africa were unable to match India’s 220-run target at Centurion despite some excellent batting from Heinrich Klaasen and Marco Jansen; ultimately they were dismissed for 208 runs, losing by an innings and 11 runs.
Suryakumar Yadav will hope that India’s batsmen can perform better after an underwhelming performance in the second T20I, and may bring in Tilak Varma as partner for Sanju Samson at the top of the order and Ramandeep Singh for greater batting depth in midfield.
Abhishek Sharma is currently engaged in an uphill struggle to retain his spot in the T20I set-up, and must perform strongly to stay there. With Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal set to enter soon, Abhishek must show some form in this game to secure it.
India last achieved this feat against Sri Lanka in 2021; their triumph at Centurion will make them only the fifth team ever in history to achieve such an achievement.
Rohit Sharma earned the Man of the Match award with his brilliant innings, scoring an unbeaten 104 off 56 balls that included six sixes and seven fours. Hardik Pandya made an unbeaten 91 off 62 balls; both shared an unbroken 151-run partnership in their opening 10 overs (their sixth century partnership in T20Is). They clearly have great rapport on and off the pitch; both could be seen laughing and smiling after each match, eagerly looking forward to future competition.
