Session 1
Indian spinners have taken control of the match, leaving England batsmen struggling to score runs. Root and Bairstow managed to put together an excellent partnership of 48 runs which has kept England within striking distance.

Session 2
After an inauspicious start to the day, England batsmen quickly recovered in the second session and increased their score past 400. Looking ahead, England hopes to extend their advantage during the final session and claim victory in this test match.
Kuldeep Yadav strikes again! Duckett attempts a powerful shot but the ball sails high into the air, where Shubman Gill takes an amazing catch at mid-on for England to lose their first wicket of the day.
Foakes and Hartley have begun building an alliance to help narrow India’s lead, but Bumrah may make their task more difficult with an overheard delivery that hits Joe Root’s stumps; after reviewing this decision he concedes defeat and Jonny Bairstow becomes their new batsman.
Session 3
India and England just concluded a close first session of their third Test match, as England bowlers performed exceptionally well to restrict Indian batsmen to just 93/3 at 25 overs. Shoaib Bashir stood out among England bowlers by picking up three wickets during this crucial encounter.
Rohit Sharma and Dhruv Jurel are batting for India now, playing cautiously so as to reach Lunch without further losing wickets. Tom Hartley continues his bowling, picking up another maiden over.
Session 4
At lunch, England were struggling on 103 for 5 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. England’s top order struggled against India’s spin attack with only Joe Root (84 not out) providing any resistance.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav’s spinners made light work of England’s lower order, quickly reducing it to 27-6. Tom Hartley made two half-centuries but couldn’t prevent England being bowled out for 477 runs.
India have taken an early lead of 177 runs at stumps on the final day of the fifth Test series-deciding fixture against Australia, but their debutant Sarfaraz Khan appears set for an impressive debut century and debutant bowler Devdutt Padikkal hopes for a memorable debut performance; but to overcome James Anderson’s 70 Test wickets will prove challenging.
Session 5
India and England enjoy one of the strongest rivalries in Test cricket, having met numerous times over recent decades, producing some riveting encounters where key moments decided the outcome of games between them. No doubt this Test match will follow suit!
The wicket report indicates that the pitch appears suitable for batting, and its outfield appears green. Although not too much spin is apparent from the ball, some carry may exist.
Sarfaraz Khan made headlines for his outstanding innings at Ranchi and will look to score another hundred and help guide Ravindra Jadeja towards an impressive score. Session 6
KL Rahul makes his maiden Test fifty to take India past England and establish a comfortable lead. However, Jonny Bairstow was unable to capitalize on his early success and was bowled by Kudeep Yadav after only 31 balls for 39 runs scored by him.
England are currently at 108-3 at lunch, holding firm against India’s spinners despite strong efforts from Zack Crawley and Rehan Ahmed of England to make quick work of this innings to put themselves in an advantageous position for tomorrow’s Test at Vizag.
Session 7
Rohit Sharma soon goes on the offensive against Mark Wood. He hits two fours and one six in one over as England suffers their first wicket fall.
Shoaib Bashir takes out Yashasvi Jaiswal after she attempted to pull short ball, only for it to land directly into wicketkeeper Ben Foakes’ hands instead.
India have continued their dominance of bowling after lunch in the second session, as Ravindra Jadeja attempts to play an instrumental innings for his side while Devdutt Padikkal makes his debut. India have taken an impressive one-innings lead and look poised to extend it with some additional scalps; Ravindra Jadeja must remain wary against spinners to ensure they do not go for big scores; pacers also must uphold discipline to maintain pressure.
Session 8
After suffering an unexpected loss in their last match, Jos Buttler’s England side have been drawn against an unbeaten India side for the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup at Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday.
Dhruv Jurel and Shubman Gill provided India with a solid platform as they chased down 192. However, Ravindra Jadeja was dismissed on a duck by Tom Heartly.
Devdutt Padikkal, India’s debutant batsman defending the crease, has made an excellent start and must continue this way in order to help India post an acceptable total. Meanwhile, James Anderson continues his march towards 700 Test wickets; so far he has taken two wickets so will look to add to this total in subsequent overs.
