De’Zhaun Stribling
After two lackluster College Football Playoff quarterfinals, the Sugar Bowl provided high drama until its very last moment. Mississippi quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and Georgia wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling both excelled during this tense contest; however, Chambliss’ ability to adapt was the clincher that gave Mississippi victory.
Ole Miss DE Luke Hasz’s fumble recovery and Kewan Lacy’s misplayed coverage on a deep route put Mississippi into field goal position within minutes of one another, as Chambliss found WR Harrison Wallace III for man coverage on third down to set up Lucas Carneiro’s game-winning 47-yard field goal attempt and secure victory for his Bulldogs team.
Stribling’s performance in the Sugar Bowl should propel him into the first two rounds of the 2026 NFL draft, making him the first Ole Miss wideout taken within that range since Laquon Treadwell went 23rd overall to the Minnesota Vikings in 2016.

Kewan Lacy
Kewan Duntrell Lacy is an American college football running back who currently plays for Ole Miss Rebels. Prior to this he spent one season as a redshirt freshman for Missouri Tigers where he registered 23 rushes for 104 yards while also making two receptions of nine yards each game he appeared.
After transferring to Ole Miss the following year, he quickly made an impression as one of their key contributors both on the ground and as a receiver. Since 2015 he has been one of Ole Miss’s top rushers – currently ranking among them’s three leading rushers! – making a strong case for SEC Offensive Player of the Year this season.

Luke Hasz
Luke Hasz is a senior tight end at Ole Miss and one of the premier players in his class. Originally hailing from Bixby, Oklahoma and enrolling as part of Ole Miss’ 2025 transfer portal class, Hasz was expected to play an integral part in offense at Ole Miss – building on his previous success at Arkansas where he caught 26 passes for 324 yards and four touchdowns.
Hasz had been sidelined due to an injury, but is feeling much improved and believes he will be able to perform at his highest level this season. He’s looking forward to reconnecting with teammates and coaches alike and finds great comfort in being part of such an unrivalled team environment.
Hasz excelled during his three seasons at Bixby High School, earning All-American and state Player of the Year honors as both junior and senior, in addition to receiving several scholarship offers to play college football.
Since 2018, NCAA rules allow up to four game participation without counting against redshirt eligibility whereas before this point participation counted against it immediately.
Daylen Everette
Daylen Everette is an exciting defensive back who could make his mark in the NFL as either a starter or backup. His talent for coverage and physicality during run plays have him standing out, while 13 total stops were achieved this season for Ole Miss Rebels leading them.
Additionally, Everette participated in Senior Bowl to further boost his stock. For this reason he will likely become an interesting asset to some teams during this year’s draft process.
Ole Miss rallied from an 11-point deficit to stun No. 3 Georgia 39-34 in the Sugar Bowl quarterfinals, thanks to an outstanding second half performance by Trinidad Chambliss that helped erase their 21-12 halftime deficit and Kewan Lacy’s touchdown run around the right edge of the field.
Georgia attempted a fourth-and-2 from its 33 in the second half, but Suntarine Perkins’ sack and recovery of Gunner Stockton’s fumble deep in Mississippi territory enabled Lucas Carneiro’s go-ahead 47-yard field goal with less than one minute left – his fifth of the night already having broken Sugar Bowl records of 55 yards and 56 yards respectively.
