SRH vs DCC

After their disastrous 2023 season, Sunrisers Hyderabad have made some drastic changes to both their coaching staff and players. Daniel Vettori has replaced Brian Lara as head coach while several players such as Harry Brook, Adil Rashid, Kartik Tyagi have been released. Mayank Dagar was traded away to Royal Challengers Bengaluru while Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Wanindu Hasaranga and Jaydev Unadkat were added instead as replacements.

Hyderabad will look to improve on their previous performance this season. They kicked off strong by winning three league games before losing consecutively before coming back and winning their last three matches to reach playoffs and achieve top two finish. They’re looking forward to continuing this good form in playoffs and hope for continued success to finish as top-two finishers!

SRH have an experienced batting line up featuring Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen in their lineup, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shakib Al Hasan have significantly strengthened their bowling arsenal. Unfortunately they’re missing David Warner and Kane Williamson to add valuable experience.

RCB on the other hand have been beset with injuries and have an inadequate bench strength. Although they started well, their losses caused them to play an eliminator against Sunrisers Hyderabad; Kane Williamson scored fifty in that match to avoid early exit from IPL 2016.

DC has an exceptional batting lineup with great potential, yet they’ve struggled to score runs during middle overs this season. If this trend continues, they could face being knocked out of contention and could end up falling outside of the top four altogether.

Delhi Capitals have been impressive with the ball this season, led by Ehsan Malinga and Sakib Hussain’s performances – they know each other’s strengths and weaknesses, creating a formidable combination. Additionally, Axar Patel and David Miller form a formidable pace attack. Unfortunately, his injury in their most recent game hampered their hopes for top two finish; hence they will need to perform at their very best to make an impactful statement during playoffs.

SRH vs RCB

SRH and RCB share one of the greatest rivalries in IPL history, boasting record-breaking totals, standout individual performances and high-pressure chases that never fail to thrill spectators. Over time, their clash has evolved from an interesting rivalry into one that truly delivers. They have met 25 times throughout IPL history with each team winning 11 times overall (RCB winning 13)

At their last encounter in 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad made history when they broke RCB’s record of 263. Chris Gayle made 175, yet they managed to surpass that total and post 287 runs despite him scoring 175 himself. Travis Head scored an outstanding 39-ball century and Heinrich Klaasen recorded an unbeaten 30 ball 67 off 30 balls while Ehsan Malinga and Sakib Hussain both took five wickets each from their bowlers for SRH’s bowlers to secure victory and secure the win for Sunrisers against Bengalis!

However, despite their impressive showing in the semi-finals, SRH were defeated by an excellent Chennai Super Kings side due to running out of gas in the latter stages of their innings. After building an excellent lead from their powerplay display earlier, miscues and poor shot selection saw them lose momentum towards the end.

Aditya Birla Group, TOI group and Bolt Ventures owned the team until 2022 when they sold it to Blackstone Group as part of an acquisition deal that also included both male and female cricket teams, hospitality ventures at RCB Bar & Cafe as well as intellectual property associated with Unbox.

RCB’s brand value has seen dramatic increases over the years. Now totalling $12 billion, their franchise stands as the most valuable franchise in IPL due to the success of their team and Virat Kohli as their brand ambassador. RCB is a major contributor to India’s economy through exports of motorcycles, automobiles and electronics. Employing over 25,000 engineers, IT specialists and manufacturing specialists as its workforce helps remain cost competitive in global markets. Furthermore, their e-commerce platform RCB Direct has become a major player within Indian e-commerce space with plans to expand further their reach within that platform and launch additional products in the near future.

SRH vs DD

Abhishek Sharma and Klaasen’s knocks helped SRH amass a competitive total after they lost the toss, yet DC never looked in control during their chase for it. Nissanka fell early, while Rahul and Rana put up an encouraging 50+ stand that temporarily gave some momentum, yet when both of them departed quickly afterwards, game momentum dissipated significantly.

Even while trailing in run rate, DD managed to stay competitive thanks to some stellar bowling performances by their bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar who conceded only seven runs while Siddarth Kaul gave away only four.

But in the penultimate over, Amit Mishra struck and dismissed both Dhawan and Hales to turn the tide of battle in favor of Sunrisers Hyderabad and shatter their dominance of the match. That was enough to turn things around as SRH quickly lost their grip on proceedings.

Mishra closed with figures of 2/16 in his final over, taking two wickets in that final over to take his overall haul to 13, the joint most in IPL 2017!

SRH have won three out of their last four matches and are beginning to gain some momentum. Abhishek Sharma is playing at his best while Ehsan Malinga and Sakib Hussain’s bowling unit has come together well, both playing key roles. But the big test awaits them when they take on Lucknow Super Giants tomorrow – can SRH translate this form on the road?
