Toss
Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and elected to bat first at M A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai for the opening game of their two-match Test series on Thursday. “There’s moisture on the wicket so we will attempt to take advantage of it,” Shanto explained before making his choice at the toss.
Bangladesh have not played Test cricket in England since 2010, while their last Test match against Australia occurred back in 2008. Bangladesh won by 20 runs
Bangladesh were unable to mount a significant challenge against Australia despite an excellent batting display from Tanzid Tamim in their opening match of the 2021 ICC World Twenty20.
