Running Back De’Von Achane
De’Von Achane is one of the NFL’s premier running backs, and according to Spotrac, his contract could include three years and $37 Million – a lot of money but fair for his skill set.
The Dolphins began the game quickly as wide receiver Dwayne Eskridge returned a 25-yard kickoff return and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa connected with Jaylen Waddle for a 20-yard touchdown on their opening drive. Following a fumble deep within Dolphins territory, Lamar Jackson connected with tight end Mark Andrews on fourth down for a 2-yard score to give Baltimore a 7-3 edge midway through the first quarter.
Tagovailoa gained a combined of 77 yards rushing twice and throwing Achane a touchdown pass in the second quarter, before scoring another touchdown on a 10-yard flip pass from Tagovailoa to Achane but failing to convert two points for another score; Baltimore held onto their 14-10 advantage at halftime.
Achane and the Dolphins offense would take control in the third quarter, amassing 106 yards on 20 touches scrimmage scrimmage yards while also receiving a safety from linebacker Tyrel Dodson on punt return play.
As the game neared its conclusion in the final quarter, Achane found his way into the red zone for the first time this season and scored his touchdown from 1-yard out. Meanwhile, Jordyn Brooks and Dante Trader Jr. each recorded one sack and one tackle for loss respectively on defense for Miami.
Miami is at its best when running back Achane is in control, and he remains a critical piece of their success this season. Wide Receiver Jaylen Waddle
Jaylen Waddle made headlines last week when he joined the Denver Broncos via a blockbuster trade, making Denver’s offense even more lethal.
Waddle is considered to be one of the fastest and shiftiest wide receivers in NFL, hailing from arguably one of the greatest programs ever: Alabama won its national title that year, with Waddle collecting 28 passes during 2020 as part of their national championship team.
Broncos officials apparently valued him so highly they gave up first, third, and fourth round draft picks in return. He is expected to play an integral role in Denver’s passing game while possibly even finding himself on special teams at times. A former Alabama standout known for his speed and change of direction capabilities, Thomas is an ideal slot receiver in Sean Payton’s system and provides much-needed depth.
Tagovailoa connected with Waddle for another touchdown throw during the second quarter, scoring from 25 yards away between multiple Bills defenders for an easy score that marked six touchdown passes from his rookie quarterback in their young careers together. Together, these teammates led their respective teams with 106 yards from scrimmage.
Third quarter was marked by a series of trade-off field goals between both teams before Tagovailoa connected with Waddle again on a deep corner route for another score that gave Miami a 17-6 edge with four minutes left in the third period.
Late in the fourth quarter, Tagovailoa dropped a 38-yard dime right into Waddle’s hands to extend their lead to 24-6 and mark two big plays from their rookie quarterback in three games together.
The Baltimore Ravens have an excellent chance of victory against Miami Dolphins on Thursday, but must ensure the game does not become one-sided. Their focus should remain on forcing turnovers and playing solid defense – especially against an elite receiving corps such as that found on Miami. Tight End Greg Dulcich
Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa began the first drive with a successful 20-yard pass to tight end Jaylen Waddle on their initial play of the first quarter, before running back Derrick Henry scored with a 1-yard touchdown run to extend Miami’s advantage by 13-0 in the first quarter. But Baltimore quickly responded as quarterback Lamar Jackson connected with Charlie Kolar on fourth down for a 3-yard scoring reception to give them an 11-3 edge heading into halftime.
The Ravens extended their lead in the third quarter when Marlon Huard intercepted a pass intended for wide receiver Mike Wallace and returned it for a touchdown interception. Following a three-and-out from Miami Dolphins, Kenneth Dixon’s 3-yard touchdown run sealed victory for Baltimore.
Miami increased their passing play during the second half, but that failed to translate to points as wide receiver De’Von Achane was limited to just one catch out of eight attempts. Wide receiver Malik Washington and tight end Greg Dulcich combined for 106 scrimmage yards but were unable to provide adequate support for Tagovailoa and his teammates on offense.
Dulcich had established himself as the Dolphins’ No. 2 tight end prior to Darren Waller’s injury, yet only received 36% of offensive snaps following their Week 12 bye week. While Dulcich could see more opportunities down the stretch run if Waller returns before him in their starting lineup, fantasy owners in deeper formats should keep an eye out for him as an intriguing target for their lineups.
Linebacker Tyrel Dodson
Dolphins defense faltered late in the first half and Ravens scored an unassailable third-quarter touchdown to put away this contest. De’Von Achane led their offense with 106 total yards while rookie safety Dante Trader Jr. and linebacker Tyrel Dodson held down their defense respectively.
Dodson led his team with 129 tackles in 2025 as an every-down starter at linebacker alongside Jordyn Brooks. Additionally, he registered five sacks, three pass defensed, one forced fumble and recovered one fumble during this season.
Baltimore took control of the game after an opening quarter with a 10-play drive that ended with running back Kenneth Collins scoring on a 5-yard touchdown run. Miami responded with an 112-yard drive featuring Achane’s 22-yard rush but kicker Riley Patterson’s 35-yard field goal drifted right and gave Baltimore a 14-3 advantage at quarter’s end.
They narrowed the gap before halftime with Jackson throwing 6-yard touchdown pass to tight end Mark Andrews but Jackson extended their lead further when scoring 44 yard touchdown pass from Jackson to wide receiver Rashod Bateman extended lead in third quarter before Dodson recorded 9 tackles (four solo) and 1 sack in loss.
