Jacksonville’s two running backs wreaked havoc against Buffalo’s lackluster run defense and kept Josh Allen off of the field for long stretches, yet their pass defense remained impeccable and even generated key turnovers.
The Jaguars must find a running game to balance their offense and stay ahead of the Bills, keeping their defense guessing in the Jacksonville Jaguars Vs Buffalo Bills Match Player Stats. Tre’Davious White foiled Lawrence on two passes aimed at Parker Washington while also breaking up one intended for Brenton Strange.

Travis Etienne
The Jaguars ran for more than 100 yards during a loss against the Buffalo Bills, with Travis Etienne making an impactful contribution with both a rushing touchdown and receiving touchdown. He earned himself a spot on NFL Network’s 2026 Fantasy Football team of the week for his efforts.
He was an essential piece of Jacksonville’s passing game, catching seven passes for 107 yards and one score. The dangerous slot receiver recorded a career-high target rate in this matchup and became one of their premier deep threats.
The Jaguars began the second quarter with a 66-yard drive that brought them inside Buffalo 10 and saw Lawrence complete passes to Parker Washington and Brian Thomas before Etienne scored on two-yard run to put his team up 14-6.
After Ray Davis fumbled the kickoff, the Jaguars recovered at their own 10-yard line and Lawrence was eventually sacked for a 2-yard loss by Greg Rousseau, forcing them to punt. On the following play Josh Allen attempted a deep pass towards Brandin Cooks that appeared to be successful until review revealed it as an incomplete pass and they punted.
With their extra point, the Jaguars increased their lead to 17-6. But Bills counterattacked quickly by driving to Jacksonville’s 29-yard line where on third down they attempted an over-the-middle pass to Parker Washington who beat coverage and raced all the way into the end zone for a 27-yard touchdown score.
At 24-24, the Jaguars tried a comeback but couldn’t score on their next possession. On fourth down they attempted a fake field goal – in part to keep time from running out while giving backup quarterback Jaxon Tunsil an opportunity for win-or-lose situations involving backup QB Matt Schaub – but their attempt failed miserably and resulted in another missed kick attempt by their opponent.
Even after today’s defeat, the Jaguars remain undefeated at home this season and top of the AFC South division. Furthermore, they currently hold the longest current winning streak among league teams as well as remaining undefeated overall in NFL competition.

Bhayshul Tuten
The Bills took an early lead against the Jaguars and never let up, holding on for an 11-9 victory. Their defense came up big time by creating key turnovers. Buffalo’s defensive line isn’t known as one of the stingiest units, but they stepped up against Josh Allen’s running attack for long stretches to keep him off the field and provide valuable coverage against their running game – not only that but their secondary made some outstanding plays as well!
Bhayshul Tuten is a running back for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL), having been selected by them in the 2025 NFL Draft. Prior to joining Jacksonville he played college football for North Carolina A&T Aggies and Virginia Tech Hokies before returning home and graduating high school from Paulsboro New Jersey where he received recognition as South Jersey Times Football Offensive Player of the Year as a senior.
After one quarter, the Bills led 3-0. They held off Jacksonville on fourth-and-goal but couldn’t capitalize on a kickoff return fumble recovery and failed to capitalize on three consecutive first downs and Matt Prater field goal attempts from their opponent.
On their next drive, the Bills went 3-and-out when Shaq Thompson intercepted Trevor Lawrence. Josh Allen then threw an incompletion before being sacked by Brandon Spikes; punter Mitch Wishnowsky then kicked a 41-yard punt that went out of bounds at Jaguars 38.
The Jaguars opened up the second half with an efficient scoring drive. LeQuint Allen caught Lawrence’s pass for 9 yards before Parker Washington caught Lawrence’s deep ball for 34 yards en route to scoring his own touchdown three plays later. Finally, Tuten caught an outlet pass from Lawrence and raced into the end zone for another 3-yard score from Lawrence himself.
After an early interception by the Bills, the Jaguars quickly got the ball back and marched downfield with it. Although they had an opportunity to score another touchdown pass was ruled incomplete. Later in the third quarter Brian Thomas was tackled at the line of scrimmage and fumbled, which Jowon Briggs recovered before returning it 44 yards for another touchdown score.
Jakobi Meyers
Meyers has thrived after joining the Jaguars through a mid-season trade from Oakland. He has earned double-digit fantasy points in five of six games with Jacksonville and ranks 12th among half-PPR league wide receivers. At 29 years old, Meyers has taken an obvious step forward since joining them and could become an asset under quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s control.
While Parker Washington was out with a concussion, their passing game struggled through two quarters. However, once back on the field in the third, Washington reignited their aerial attack with two catches of 30-plus yards and one touchdown and ran second most routes among Jags receivers on Sunday.
Meyers may remain limited in long-term dynasty value due to a crowded Jaguars receiving corps, but he’s an effective PPR play in the meantime. Meyers is on track to becoming a weekly fantasy contributor – and could emerge as their go-to option by 2026.
The Bills hadn’t won an away playoff game in 22 years and appeared destined to suffer another setback on Sunday – until Sean McDermott’s defense made an unexpectedly dominant second-half performance, including Cole Bishop’s fourth-quarter interception that proved decisive in sealing their victory. Their run defense wasn’t particularly aggressive either but was sufficient enough to prevent Jacksonville from piling up big yardage in red zone situations.
This victory silenced voices that were calling for defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier to be fired. The Bills’ pass rush had vastly improved with Gregory Rousseau creating five quarterback pressures and one sack; additionally Tre’Davious White and Marshon Lattimore each recorded one interception each.
Brian Thomas
Buffalo came back from an initially slow start and won an exciting second half victory against Kansas City on Saturday. Josh Allen completed 28 passes for 263 yards and four touchdowns while James Cook ran for 44 yards rushing. Buffalo’s defense provided two key turnovers and an important game-sealing interception by Cole Bishop; their win put an end to any concerns over Sean McDermott’s future as head coach while providing them with their first road playoff victory since 1992.
The Bills took an impressive opening drive when Shaq Thompson intercepted Trevor Lawrence and returned it 19 yards back to their own 33-yard line, forcing the Jaguars offense into three straight three-and-outs and giving Matt Prater the opportunity to kick a 50-yard field goal, giving the Bills an early 3-0 advantage.
Jacksonville’s initial scoring drive came to an abrupt halt as cornerback Tre’Davious White picked off a Lawrence pass destined for Jakobi Meyers on third down, and Mitch Wishnowsky punted long. At their own 35, Buffalo took over.
Bills first downs gave them an opportunity to extend their lead, but were forced to settle for another Mitch Wishnowsky punt. Jaguars responded quickly with an impressive 77-yard drive highlighted by Lawrence throwing 14-yard pass to Parker Washington before Bills defense stiffened and forced a fourth-and-8 stoppage.
Lawrence attempted another throw to Parker Washington on third down but this time safety DaQuint Williams hit him and caused him to drop it – giving Buffalo possession at their 34-yard line.
The Buffalo Bills launched an offensive drive that ended with Travis Etienne Jr. scoring a 31-yard TD run to take an early 10-7 advantage and hold on through most of the third and fourth quarters.
But in the final minutes, Buffalo’s defense was able to foil Jacksonville’s comeback attempt with an important fourth-down stop on Ray Davis’ run inside of the 10-yard line and Tyler Bass’ 27-yard field goal that made the score 20-10 in favor of Buffalo in the Jacksonville Jaguars Vs Buffalo Bills Match Player Stats. Furthermore, their defensive unit forced a couple more stops on Jaguars offensive plays and even managed a turnover on downs for good measure.
