Tight End Dalton Kincaid

Dalton Kincaid attempted to rally the Bills offense when trailing 16-13 late in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, Dolphins safety Minkah Fitzpatrick thwarted his attempts on third-and-10 to make a first down and set up a scoring drive by forcing a fumble that gave Miami deep inside Bills territory and set them up with possession of the ball.

As Allen attempted to throw the ball to Kincaid on the next play, Fitzpatrick struck and knocked him to the ground, forcing Allen and Kincaid to fall. Due to a short penalty for their offense, Buffalo were forced to punt.

On Miami’s next drive, De’Von Achane ran free for a 59-yard run to take back the lead and regain their advantage over Buffalo. Hairston attempted to tackle Achane but failed, allowing him to gain extra yards before diving towards the line of scrimmage.

Soon thereafter, Buffalo’s defense recorded their first interception of the game when cornerback Cam Lewis put pressure on Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on third and 10 and forced him to fumble it – only for safety Byron Bell to recover it for Buffalo!

The Bills and Dolphins have met 125 times (including 5 postseason matches) since 1969; with each team winning 61 times each and 1 tie. Since their inaugural meeting, quarterbacks Jim Kelly and Dan Marino were major figures in this rivalry; later Josh Allen and Tua Tagovailoa emerged as stars within it.

Quarterback Josh Allen

At Wyoming, Allen led an offense that won two Mountain West Conference championships under his direction, throwing for 44 touchdowns and 21 interceptions over his two seasons as the starter – leading the Pokes to 16-9 records during his time there and graduating in December 2017 with his bachelor’s degree.

Allen was considered an impressive prospect despite his modest college production at a non-Power Five Conference FBS school due to his size, arm strength, speed, and running ability. His physical characteristics drew comparisons to John Elway, Randall Cunningham, Brett Favre, and Cam Newton for potential comparison.

Bills picked Allen seventh overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. In his rookie year, he struggled to adjust to NFL play at first but eventually showed signs of improvement over time – improving his completion percentage and throwing for 27 touchdowns with only 11 interceptions plus 13 more rushing scores!

Allen continued his success into 2022, throwing for 4,283 yards, 35 touchdown passes, and only six interceptions – an impressive performance which earned him Pro Bowl recognition.

Allen not only had outstanding passing numbers but was also an efficient rusher, scoring 10 touchdowns on the ground during his tenure in the league. A respected leader, Allen was known for being selfless within his locker room.

As the Bills prepare to enter their inaugural season at Highmark Stadium, they are banking on Allen to lead them to a winning season and an appearance in the playoffs. Even after losing veteran wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis to free agency, Allen should still be able to capitalize on a talented group of young receivers on his roster.

Allen started off his Buffalo-Dolphins matchup by throwing his first touchdown pass of the game to tight end Jackson Hawes in the second quarter, only to then throw an interception on fourth down when pressure from safety Minkah Fitzpatrick forced an attempt at an extended quarterback keeper and caused it to be stripped from him and stripped of its ball.

Special Teams

Bills defense was able to create turnovers at key moments throughout the game, including forcing Tua Tagovailoa of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa into fumbling which Maxwell Hairston recovered for an interception – marking his inaugural interception as a rookie!

Buffalo’s defensive backs were successful in stopping Miami’s offense from making any progress in the third quarter, thanks to cornerback Jalen Mills and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips who combined for two sacks on quarterback Josh Allen before throwing an incomplete pass that was intercepted by safety Minkah Fitzpatrick for a score that put Buffalo ahead 23-6.

De’Von Achane then ran free for a 59-yard touchdown run that put Buffalo up 30-13 with less than four minutes left in the fourth quarter. Bills cornerback Cam Lewis and safety Jordan Poyer tried unsuccessfully to take down Achane at the line of scrimmage; instead he managed to escape their grasps and race toward the end zone for his second rushing score of the game.

Since the AFL-NFL merger, the Bills-Dolphins rivalry has been one of the most heated in the NFL, especially in terms of Buffalo Bills Vs Miami Dolphins Match Player Stats.

Both teams competed fiercely during the 1980s and 90s with Hall-of-Famer quarterbacks Jim Kelly and Dan Marino serving as leaders of their franchises; more recently, both teams have again emerged as playoff contenders. Across 47 regular-season meetings, the rivalry has remained intense, with the Buffalo Bills holding a 31-25 edge over the Miami Dolphins.
